The blade scratches my skin,
It's screaming the agony of not feeling you.
My conscience evades
To a shaded reality.
Lost in the rain, my thoughts
Become clearer.
The mist is fading away,
Revealing a world
Portraited in black and white.
My tears washed away
The colours you once
Painted in my life.
The stars in the night sky,
They used to fill my eyes
The same way you filled my heart.
But, with your departure,
The clouds covered my sight.
Now, as I can only dream
Of how bright the stars used to be,
So are my memories a painful reminder
Of how you used to love me.
It might have been...
But everything is what it ought to be.
We can never break free.
I shall ever only dream of you,
